The successful candidate will be normally based in our Glasgow office, but will involve a high degree of travel/work in and around our Edinburgh office. Own car and a valid driving license required as extensive travelling will be involved.

You will be responsible for providing first level support to our wide and varied client base. Clients are geographically spread out over Scotland and England. Support would be provided by telephone, remote access to their systems and on site visits when needed. It is not essential but some previous support experience would be helpful.

Initially this will be on a 12 month contract with the possibility of moving to a permanent position thereafter.

An excellent telephone manner, first class fluent English and a patient, can-do attitude essential. The successful candidate will be a primary point of contact to our clients and will need to properly represent the firm in terms of professionalism and service.

Training will be provided, but a good knowledge of general IT packages would be useful. A genuine interest in IT and the ambition for an IT career are essential.

Pre-installation duties will also be required, for example, building servers and installation desktop computers to client requirements. Again, full training will be provided if necessary.

Salary will be between £14k and £16k, depending on our previous experience. Regular reviews of performance and pay will be provided.

The successful candidate could be working on their own for a large portion of the day so a self motivating personality essential. You will also be part of the wider firm and will need to be a team player as well. A good sense of humour and the ability to fit in definitely essential, especially for the work social events!
